QuadPara Association of South Africa

Happy 2023 from QASA!

We wish all our members and funders a happy 2023! With the start of the new year, we would like to remind our members to update their personal information and pay their annual membership fee of R20 – if they do not have lifelong membership. With an up-to-date membership, you will have access to all of the QASA services and programmes – and there is a lot!

Employment

The QASA Work Readiness Programme is a skills development programme aimed at assisting members find permanent work in the formal sector. Participants are taught valuable soft skills necessary to thrive in the formal work environment, and provided with formal work experiences, which will hopefully lead to permanent employment.

QASA also support members who want to further their education through the Education Fund by providing financial support.

Transport

QASA has several transport-related services. Adapted vehicles fitted for drivers with disabilities and/or to transport wheelchair users are available to hire. With the QuadPara Transport service, members are collected and transported by a QASA driver. This service is only available in certain regions at the moment.

Finally, Driving Ambitions provides our members with the driver training so that they can obtain their own driver’s licence.

Accommodation

QASA has several self-help centres available to members. These operate similar to a house-share. There are also more short-term rental option for members travelling for work or holiday. In addition, QASA has its rural outreach programme to assist members with adapting their homes. In recent years, the programme has built ramps at several homes of members in need.

And so much more…

There are many more services on offer to assist our members with living their lives to the fullest. Visit our website for more information at www.qasa.co.za, reach out to us on e-mail at info@qasa.co.za or phone us on 031 767 0352.
